1. I've lived in the same house my entire life.
2. I grew up completely homeschooled.
3. My Birthday is Valentine's Day (Most of you probably know this by now, but even so..)
4. A little embarrassing, but despite number 4, I have never had a girlfriend (Not for a lack of trying. I guess on the other hand, it just means given my current state, that I've never had to break up with anyone either *Shrug* Cest la mort)
5. When I was much younger, the first anime series I was a really big fan of was Sailor Moon *LOL* Although I guess I'm not much farther along, since one of my current favorites is Princess Tutu (Don't laugh! Watch it first and then tell me it's not great XD). That was a two-for-one, I guess.
6. Despite having several core books and whatnot, I've never played an actual D&D campaign (Or dear, I think I'm seeing a reason for number 5 *LOL*)
7. I've drawn for as long as I can remember (I think even longer, actually), and always have aimed it towards story-telling (Comics and whatnot)
8. Meant this one earlier, but I've never left the continental US. (Yup, no Hawaii and no Alaska, much less other countries). I intend to remedy this. Hopefully sooner than later.
I guess now it's time for the part I truly dread...tagging
Seriously, if you don't want to follow through with the tag, feel free to ignore it (I'm not exactly breaking the rules by making it optional, am I?)

I can hardly wait for MTAC too...thinking about it, I think it's my first con of the year (Darn college getting in the way of what's really important XD). Secret weapon, eh?
Ahh, Negima is great, although the budokai tournament got really dull (never been a fan of tournament style series). From what I understand there's another tournament coming down the line too. *Shrug* I'm hoping it's not too long

Napoleon and Hitchcock? That's awesome! XD
I miss the old days of the Sci-Fi channel Saturday Anime...the stuff they have on Ani-Monday, makes me want to cry. U_U I miss the old days of Tenchi, Iria, Tank Police, and Project A-Ko.
I played a few GURPS campaigns, but everyone seemed to get tired of it.
Really? I'd like to see some of your mother's art some time!

You have to love the hell out of those Ani-Monday tv ads though. They're so weird!
GURPS is ummmmmm.... GURPS. I can't say that I like the system. It's to complicated because of it's universability. I can't keep track of anything in it. >_<
I wish that I could get my mom to allow me to scan in and display some of her artowkr, but she barely lets me take it out of the portfolio that the filed it away under her bed with. She's really shy about it... or something. I'll never understand why because it's SOOO amazing!
O_O
I'll try to sneak something sometime. X'D

10 ODD FACTS ABOUT ME....
1. I've had a strange sort of oral fixation all my life.
I've had a nail biting habit since before I can remember, and when I was younger I'd chew on my shirt and my hair as well. I tried to quit chewing on things altogether a few years back but then I started grinding my teeth and when I went to the dentist I had my very first cavity because of it and he said it was causing pin holes in my teeth in other places that could cause other cavities if I didn't stop. So I started experimenting with alternative habits that would come off kind of sexy instead of gross or strange. So now I chew gum, suck on lollipops, and while I'm stuck in a work enviroment where I can't chew gum or eat candy I apply scented lip gloss or balms every couple of minutes instead. Of course even when I'm not at work I can't eat candy and chew gum all day, so I still bite my nails occasionally.
2. I don't actually like the feeling of real terror but I get a buzz when someone can startle me.
If you can startle or shock me or get me to believe for a few moments that you might possibly have a naughty evil side deep down somewhere it makes me sort of euphoric. I don't know how to explain it. It's like getting high the same way you do when someone your crushing on starts flirting heavily. I think I'm desensitized to a lot these days... so it's hard to do it unless I'm caught compeltely off guard... but when someone can do it... especially a guy who I already think is cute... It's kind of a mega turn on. I dunno. Really hard to explain. It's gotta be spooky not creepy. Done just right, or it will annoy me instead. I also like roller coasters and guys who drive fast but seem really in control of their vehicles for that reason too. I like safe adrenelline rushes. A LOT. yum.
3. When I was young and living in Alabama, the winters got very cold sometimes...
So, Whenever I took a bath or shower, afterwards I would wrap up in my towel and sit on the edge of the tub day dreaming I was in Alaska trying to survive in the winter. While I sat there shivering I would imagine I was in a cave where I was trying to warm up after having fallen in the icy river. The reason I was naked wrapped in only a towel was because I had to strip off my clothes and use a wolves skin wrap some tribes men had left in the cave before they had moved on to keep myself from freezing to death. Like clockwork, Once I'd get lost enough in my day dream I'd move from the bathroom to my room and plant myself infront of my space heater. (We were poor so we didn't have regular central heating, just the space heater) So I'd sit in front of it and pretend it was a fire place I'd made from going out and gathering wood. I remembered this recently because since I moved out here to TN. I now have a space heater again (and reg. heat too) but it feels nicer to turn on the space heater by my bed instead of turn on the heat in the whole house. It makes my covers comfy but the rest of the room is nice and cool. Using the space heater reminded me of my chilhood sitting by myself for hours pretending to be someone trying to survive in a cave in Alaskan winter... to this day I can't figuire out where I came up with it, but I remember now that I would do it every winter till I moved to Florida.
4. As much as I draw anime and study manga art I'm actually not a very big fan of it.
There are very few series I have read or watched all the way through.. even when I Was younger and had more time for it. I enjoyed the Slayers and Sailor Moon when I was in high school but that was about it. I've just always enjoyed drawing in that style because I feel it is the easiest way for me to be expressive with characters facial features... and I HATE when someone comes up to me and expects me to be familiar with whatever manga or anime they are currently into just because I draw in the style. I really hate when I tell the person "I haven't seen it yet" and they just keep talking about it anyway. People do that all the time at conventions and the more I go to them the more it grates on my nerves. I dread it. I do however enjoy talking about Miyazaki's work.. even his lesser known stuff. The way his stories allow for individual interpretation... and the way they make you feel... amazes me. I waould like to someday be able to tell a story as profoundly as he does. The man amazes me.
5. Sometimes I pretend to not know how to do something to see if someone will offer to help.
I like to see how people react or handle a situation where they have the oppurtunity to be in control because I am seemingly unable to do something without their help. I'll also pretend like I don't know everything going on about certain situations to see if someone will lie to me or tell the truth to someone seemingly niave enough that they could fool. I don't know why I do this, but I think it has to do with me having issues with trust. I have been hurt by being niave and trusting when I was younger so I think it's some sort of defense mechanism. I know I shouldn't test people like that, but I do it like a reflex, without even really thinking about it conciously till about half way through the excercise.
